Therapist, Relationship and Couples Emphasis

 

Lovewell, Inc. is seeking a licensed therapist with specialized training or interest in relationship counseling (dating, relationships, couples work) and mindfulness or self-compassion to provide remote psychotherapy and dating coaching services to individuals and couples online. Clinician can expect to build a caseload of 8-20 clients over time with some evening or weekend hours required.

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists (PsyD, PhD), and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) are invited to apply.

Individual or group consultation are offered to create support and enhance clinical skills. Hours are flexible, 1 evening or weekend day is requested as part of weekly availability.

Qualifications

  • Current license to practice psychotherapy in CA - LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, PhD, PsyD
  • Strong interest in working with singles and couples on relationship issues
  • The ability to work until 8 PM or on weekends at least two days a week
  • Comfort or experience working with relationships, sex, and intimacy
  • Ability to manage your own schedule
  • Own a reliable laptop, iPad, or computer that can be used for Google Meet sessions and record-keeping 
  • Experience, interest, or personal practice with one or more of the following: mindfulness, coaching, group, couples, sex and intimacy, or somatic therapy
  • Preferred: Training in couples work, mindfulness, or dating coaching

Responsibilities:

  • Perform remote clinical counseling services to clients of Lovewell, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.  
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records and treatment plans using Simple Practice, including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time must be completed by Friday of each week.
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 business hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Lovewell website.  
  • Assess and treat mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, career and work stress, and providing supplemental referrals as needed.
  • Provide case management, including making referrals, following up with the treatment team, consulting, etc. 
  • Be respectful, cooperative, and collaborative with teammates and co-workers.
  • Teach mindfulness classes or lead groups as needed
  • Other duties as discussed


This is an hourly, paid position for independent contractors. Benefits include:
